Across the country, medical schools and teaching hospitals are participating in the fifth annual Joining Forces Wellness Week to highlight the unique health care needs of our nation鈥檚 veterans, military service members, and their families. In recognition of Veterans Day, the weeklong initiative is part of a broader effort by institutions to participate in the White House Joining Forces Initiative.聽
Joining Forces Wellness Week takes place Nov. 7-11. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), in collaboration with the White House Joining Forces staff and the Center for Deployment Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, will show a free webinar series on the health and wellness of military service members and veterans. The series will feature national experts from medical schools, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, and others. Topics include:

鈥 Caring for Caregivers
鈥 Pain Management鈥擭uances for the Military and Veteran Patient Population
鈥 The Deployment Life Cycle of the Military Family: Implications for Health Care Providers
鈥 What Veterans Want Their Health Care Providers to Know and How Academic Medical Centers Can Contribute.聽
Free Continuing Education (CE) credit for participating in these webinars will be available through 小蝌蚪视频, a non-profit CE organization located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In addition to being presented as live webcasts, the series will be archived for one year for future participants to view and earn free CE credit.
