Creating a Mindfulness-Based Play Therapy Intervention

Interventions are no substitute for the connection between you and your client, but once the relationship is established, mindful interventions can be one of the many tools in your therapist toolbox to help promote your client鈥檚 success.

And if you鈥檙e working with young clients, play therapy interventions focusing on mindfulness can be both a fun and beneficial way for children to be able to 鈥渇eel鈥 mindfulness and replicate it into a viable practice.

There are three ways that therapeutic interventions have a focus on mindfulness: by sharpening concentration or attention, building emotion regulation skills to properly handle stress, and developing a positive self-concept.
